Our Vision

”She’s My DJ!” is an event organized by Femmixx.com and Mocha Works, Marketing to accomplish several things. Primarily, it will shine light on the work and creative input of females in the music industry whose skills are specialized as a DJ or Producer. Focusing on authentic, female Hip-hop turntablists, this event sets itself apart from other competitions.

We also wanted to reintroduce the love for one of the original pillars of Hip-hop music and spread knowledge and education of the skill of DJing and its history. Propelling the story of DJing through this event is the way that it stays alive in our community.

And lastly, Hip-hop music fans are looking for a way to reconnect to the music and through a live competition open to the public, we felt we would be the ones who create that connection. By creating a forum where music lovers, djs and producers can participate in a live DJ, mix and scratch battle, we create the opportunity for DJ’s to purchase and sell new music, original mixes and hip-hop products (ie. Cd’s, albums, posters, t-shirts). This adds value to the market for these types of products and encourages its production.
